Scouts Go Paintballing

5 March 2014

After an extensive review the National Scout Association, as of January 1st 2014 lifted its 16 year old ban on Paintballing, due to the industry becoming far better regulated and offering a far higher standard of safety equipment.

Off the back of this and by popular demand the County Scout team jumped on this to offer  our members a full paintballing experience. Nanpantan Scouts  joined 300 other Scouts from Leicestershire at Delta Force in Kegworth.

Scouts were split into teams of around 20 and spent the day taking part in five different tournament events, each one with a different scenario and against a different team, the total scores being compiled at the end of the day to confirm an overall winning team.  However as often stated it is not the winning but the taking part that counts, and this was definitely the case for this event, many of the Scouts taking part had never experienced paintballing before and the atmosphere was electric.
