Environmental and Geotechnical Survey
26 August 2014
I’m pleased to say that we have managed to raise enough money over the past year for the Environmental and Geotechnical Survey to take place. This has now started and samples of the soil have already been take and we currently have 10 metre bore holes dotted around the site. See if you can spot them next time you’re at the headquarters. Every week for a total of 8 weeks, engineers will come to the site to take measurements. We hope to have the results back before October half term giving us the information the Council requires to submit with our plans.
We can now start focusing on our plans on the new building. Please discuss with your Scouts on what they would like to see (or not see) in our new building. Ideas could including sleeping accommodation, indoor climbing wall etc We would love to know what you think.
